Butterflies and flowers...

Butterflies and flowers, the signs of spring... even though after a few 80 degree days we had a frost. Luckily these two bobbin lace pieces will survive a freeze just fine.


Both of these patterns are from Brigitte Bellon's "Gekloppelte Fruhlingsmotive".

Both were fairly quick projects taking a few hours each. The flower is 4" x 2.25" while the butterfly is 4" x 2.5". The book is written in German, but the diagrams are very clear and there are pictures of the finished pieces, which was helpful in understanding some of the pattern details, like the braided wing tips on the butterfly.
