Striped Illusion Scarf...

It seems, Tis the Season for Scarves for me in knitting land. I have a long list of things I want to make, of design ideas and needed garments etc, but lately, I've just wanted to do straight forward knitting.

I recently got "Knitting New Scarves", which is a wonderful collection of scarves using interesting techniques in unusual ways. So I started the Striped Illusion Scarf using the same softball yarn I used for my red/tan hat. (as well as the same yarn I used for the Camisole from Poetry in Stitches). Its knitted all purl on one side and all knit on the other and the color changes are using basic Intarsia techniques.

Its a perfect project for a lazy weekend of laundry and movie-knitting.

Speaking of perfect, I awoke Sunday morning to the First snow of the season. The air crisp and the sky greyish white to match the snow and the streets, quiet. Followed in early afternoon with the sound of a snow shovel easily scrapping the sidewalk, clearing the light fluffy snow from the sidewalks.

The snow was melted and gone by night fall but it was a nice intro to winter.

Beautiful things as always! It's going to snow again today. I'm still going through crazy private school process. Can't wait to meet up with you again soon. My schedule should be light, the week of the 17th.
