End of round..ding ding ding

The holiday sweater vest 1
I've finished my test of The Holiday sweater. Let me just say, I am soooo glad I did this as a test. Glad I didn't find some fancy expensive lovely yarn to experiment with. Early on, while working the Rt front, I changed the way I worked the cables for the better. The left front went swimmingly, till I missed the decrease shaping in the front and had to frog more than 2". The top back kinda gave me a headache, as the shaping just seemed off... then i realized I should have made the back wider, giving me more wiggle on the arm shaping and a smoother increase for the upper back. Normally, non of this would phase me. I'm very much a "make it work" kinda person. I'm totally cool with making major design changes mid knit if it the original idea is faltering. But the need to keep track of what I'm doing along the way has made this kinda stressful, not the mention those patiently waiting for a pattern (Thanks for your patience btw ;-).
I feel like I've been working on this thing forever. I'm happy to say, the completed vest, yes thats right, VEST, is perfect...for a vest. An excellent accent piece for fall. Why a vest? well the back arm shaping was wrong since i was missing 16 sts. But the pattern will have sleeves along with other corrections.
I downloaded a knit symbol font, though I have a feeling I'll just scan my graph paper.
