I glanced at pic in a magazine a week ago and I think I've figured out how to recreate it. The pocket book slippers when so well, I've applied the same principle and ease to these. The slipper will be folded in half and stitched part up the front. It has a cabled edge.
I must say, if it wasn't for my subway commute, I wouldn't get much knitting done.
